The Electric Underground began in January 2007 with the idea to give independent producers a platform on which to perform. A passion for original music and the thrill of putting on live gigs summoned a need to provide the people of Cork with a new dimension to an already diverse scene. We aim to bring quality acts to Cork throughout 2007 at a low price. We plan to use various venues to make the nights as enjoyable and dynamic as possible. For more info contact us through www.myspace.com/elecunderground Tonight's guests include The LPX, Endfindead and Young Carl Young. The LPX (The Electic Fix - Dublin) -LPX specialises in brooding punk infused experimental electronica, as heard on two recent releases, Experiments in Dub and HiFi and Easy Music for Difficult Ears.On LPX releases he provides the (occasional) vocals, the programming, the production AND plays all the instruments. http://www.myspace.com/lpxireland Endfindead: "Sinister layers of melody melded with broken, rapid, Squarepusher-like beats. A lot of musicians of this variety look like they might as well be checking their E-mails when "performing" live, but Don was clearly having a ball with a 120 decibel grin on his face while blasting out his own brand of raucus glitch-hop to an appreciative crowd."
