Founding member of Kíla, Rónán is an accomplished poet along with being a musician. He has written poetry in both Irish & English and found that the rhythm of the words helped form his percussive, chant like singing style. Rónán is recognized for his unique technique of playing the Bodhrán, which has often been likened to Africas talking drums and the Indian tables. Tonynho dos Santos will be playing solo and with his band Tokatynga. The music of Tokatynga evades all labels, but could perhaps be best described as Latin Pop, Brazilian Afro Pop or Brazilian Jazz and is made up of well-known themes in new arrangements as well as their own compositions. Their music will take you on an ever-changing journey of sound, deeply rooted somewhere between Africa, Brazil and Europe.
